St. Paul, MN -May 31st, 2019– NOVUS Glass, the innovator of windshield repair, is excited to announce the addition of new franchisees, Paige and Trey Solms. Opening the first NOVUS Glass location in the Daytona area, the Solms will service Volusia, Flagler and the City of Palm Coast.
A former U.S. active Army serviceman, graduate of American Military University and current Florida Army National Guard Member for the past 17 years, dedication, service, and hard work is nothing new to Trey. The core values and skills he learned in the military, will be his foundation to building a strong successful NOVUS business. Trey also worked in the e-commerce industry, which provided him with additional sales and operation skills. With all of Trey’s vast background of experiences, the one that drew him to NOVUS was his experience working at a local glass shop. “Within a short amount of time, I realized the potential of the auto glass industry,” stated Trey “I also enjoyed the work and the customer interaction.”
The Solms were also drawn to NOVUS due to the fact that they could work together and start a family business. They appreciate that NOVUS allows them the flexibility to spend more quality time with their family. “Paige and I are in this together 50/50 and always will be,” shared Trey. A graduate of Florida State University, Paige went into medical sales after graduating. Wanting to be more involve in patient care, Paige transitioned to be a Registered Nurse, working at a local hospital for the past seven years. Instrumental to the success of their business, Paige will be taking on most of the daily operations while caring for their two daughters. The Solms are excited about creating their own hours and being a part of a strong market. Trey went on to share, “We like being in control of our own careers and having the ability to be in a market that we feel we can succeed in.”
Paige and Trey are planning to offer several services within their business. These include, auto glass repair and replacement, windshield wiper and mirror replacement, along with headlamp restoration and NOVUS plastic polish to start. Lifelong Floridians, the Solms enjoy being part of their community and are looking forward to the opportunity to be able to give back to the people and areas around them. Ted Andersen VP of Operations in North America states, “Trey and Paige will be a nice addition to our existing network in Florida and our first franchisees in Daytona, we are excited to have new coverage in this area.”
